Launched in 2014 by the Ministry of the Armed Forces (cyber defence pact) and by the Brittany Regional Council (pact for the future) with a national scope and an aim of international influence, the Pôle d’excellence cyber relies on the regional academic and industrial fabric but also on national partners or partners from other territories.
The Cyber Excellence Cluster's mission is to stimulate the development of:
– l’offre de formation cyber (initiale, continue, supérieure),
– academic cyber research,
– the industrial and technological base of cybersecurity, with particular attention to innovative SMEs, including for export.
The Cyber Excellence Cluster thus addresses three major challenges, for the benefit of the national cyberdefence and cybersecurity community:
– to find the skills needed to meet the development needs of the sector,
– to have a research offering aligned with the needs of the ministry and of industry,
– to offer trusted products and services.
